Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the auralocksmith.com website and the locksmith services provided by Aura Locksmith LLC ("Aura Locksmith," "we," "us," or "our"). By requesting service from us, you agree to these Terms.

Aura Locksmith provides residential, commercial, and mobile locksmith services in Brooklyn and the surrounding New York City area, including lockouts, lock repair, installation, replacement, rekeying, and smart lock installation.

We are a NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection licensed locksmith. License #2113111-DCA. Our license is posted at our store location at 3203 Quentin Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11234.

Aura Locksmith operates in full compliance with all current and future laws, rules, and administrative codes governing licensed locksmiths in New York City and New York State, including New York City Administrative Code § 20-302 (Prohibition; duties of locksmiths), § 20-304 (License to be displayed), and the licensing and recordkeeping requirements administered by the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection.

In accordance with these requirements, we:

• Verify the identity and authority of every person requesting that a locked item be opened.
• Maintain the recordkeeping required of licensed locksmiths, including records of work performed and the means used to verify ownership or authorization.
• Present our locksmith business license on request when performing service away from our store.
• Obtain a signed authorization form from the requesting party when opening a locked item, as prescribed by the Commissioner.
• Display our locksmith business license conspicuously at our store and publish our license number on this website, as required by § 20-304.

Our records are made available for inspection by the Commissioner, departmental inspectors, and law enforcement in accordance with applicable law.

Prices quoted by phone, email, or through our website are estimates only. The final price for any job depends on the hardware required, the condition of the existing lock or door, and the time and labor involved, and will be confirmed on site before work begins. You will always be informed of the final price before we proceed.

Submitting a request through our website or by phone is not a guarantee that service will be available at a specific time. Mobile and after-hours service is subject to technician availability. Estimated response times are not guaranteed.

For your safety and the security of the property, we require valid government-issued identification and reasonable proof of ownership, occupancy, or authorization (such as a lease, deed, or utility bill) before performing lockout, rekey, or lock change services on a residence or vehicle. Authorized parties include the owner, tenant, occupant, property manager, or a business representative of the property. We reserve the right to refuse service if we cannot verify your authority to request work on the property.

Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing in advance. We accept the payment methods listed at our store and on invoices.

Aura Locksmith performs work using reasonable care and standard industry practices. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to doors, frames, locks, or property, or for damage that results from forced-entry methods that you authorize when non-destructive entry is not possible. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from services performed is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question.

New hardware we install is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Our workmanship is warrantied for a reasonable period following service; contact us with any concerns and we will work with you in good faith to address them.

The "Aura Locksmith" name, logo, and all related marks, graphics, and website content are the property of Aura Locksmith LLC and are protected by trademark and copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use our name, logo, or website content for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission. Unauthorized use may result in legal action.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
